KYC SIM Registration for MTN hits peak registrations of 600,000 people a day, the highest productivity throughput of any SIM Registration system in Africa.

In like manner, Mr. Chimezie Emewulu (Managing Director) & Mr. Chibuzor Onwurah (Executive Director) were specially recognized for their contributions to the growth of ICT sector in Nigeria.

Listed as one of 100 Best Companies to work for in Nigeria, 2016 Jobberman Report, a ranking of top employers in Nigeria, as rated by employees and professionals nationwide.

Celebrated 9th anniversary by visiting and donating ICT equipment to the Ajegunle LIFE Center of Paradigm Initiative Nigeria (PIN) for the education and empowerment of less privileged youth.

Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) endorses and recommends Seamfix iTrancript in June 2015 in a letter to Vice Chancellors of Nigerian Universities.

Also in June, FuelVoucher.com.ng and Interswitch entered strategic partnership for the scaling of voucher redemption points across various payment terminals in stations nationwide as well as payments across the various web, mobile and POS channels.

Go live of Joono ATM Advertising and Customer Engagement Solution across the self-service channels for First Bank of Nigeria in August in partnership with iDesign Multimedia Ltd, UK.

Go live of KYC SIM Registration for MTN Nigeria in a record 10 days, in response to resolving the clients’ issues with NCC on SIM registration data quality which led to a fine on the Telco by the regulatory body. Unofficially the fastest SIM registration implementation in the world.

Also implemented over 4 biometric data capture projects for other corporate institutions and NGOs during the calendar year.

Further consolidation of our establishment as a strong biometric solutions provider in Nigeria with the Nigerian Identity Management Commission (NIMC) contracted Seamfix in October for the implementation and provision of the Enrollment Software, Pre-Enrolment Portal, and core technology components – for, and currently in use – in the Nigerian National Identity Card Program.

Also implemented over 6 State & LGA biometric data capture projects (in partnership with Skye bank) as well as for other government parastatals and security agencies within the year. Objectives included ghost worker elimination, staff audit, etc.

Implementation and go live in November of eVAP (Electronic Value Added Peddling) project for online sales of petroleum products for Oando Marketing (now OVH)

Concluded digitization of over 30,000 alumni files and go live of the UNN iTranscript Portal for transcript applications from alumni from around the world in December.

Following the signing into law of the Nigerian Content Act in 2010 for the oil & gas sector, the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB) selected Seamfix to design, develop and implement the National Oil & Gas Industry Commission Joint Qualification System (NOGIC JQS) Portal – a solution to facilitate in the Board’s fulfilment of the Act. After months of meticulous planning, meetings, design, and implementation, the NOGIC JQS Portal went live on the 16th of August, 2011.

Conceptualized iTranscript – an online transcript management and applications product with an offline alumni files digitization component as a solution to identified problems in result management in University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) – alma mater of the founders of Seamfix. Began engagement with the school for its implementation and was contracted to proceed.

On the strength of BioCapture, bidding for and won the project to implement a KYC SIM Registration Biometric solution in line with NCC directives for Zain (Now Airtel) Telecommunications. Empowered our client to be the first Telco in Nigeria to go live with their SIM Registration solution in April 2010.

Also implemented our KYC SIM Registration Biometric solution for Starcomms Plc following from the successful go live of the Zain (now Airtel) project with go live launch in July.

Discovered a need for identity and biometric services in the country and birthed her first Biometric solution, BioCapture which gained marketplace acceptance and in partnership with Electronic Test Company (ETC) deployed same for use by 6 higher institutions in Nigeria

Implementation of a school management portal for Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) in partnership with Daxcomm Ltd.

Developed partner relationships with two leading financial institutions, deploying school management solutions for both tertiary and pre-tertiary institutions to their client schools. Also became one of six Sun Microsystems Certified Partners (later transformed to Oracle Partners) in West Africa.

Seamfix was founded by four visionary entrepreneurs (later became two) and in October was formally incorporated to conduct business in Nigeria with operations starting in Lagos. Maiden office was the sitting room of the founders, with an initial seed capital of $500. Started with providing websites and custom solutions to small scale enterprises.
